Cartel Fitness is the home of Crossfit Cartel which has been ranked as the number 1 CrossFit affiliate in the ACT for the past two years. We focus on health and fitness through functional movement, strength, cardio workouts and high intensity training for all fitness levels. We have been in business since June 2013 and our membership base has grown dramatically over this time. There is a great energy and atmosphere at Cartel Fitness.

At Cartel we strive to be better everyday. We understand the importance of moving in everyday life to help strength, endurance, lifting, ageing, health and wellness and to aid in warding off disease. We offer programming that suits everybody from beginners to competitive athletes. With a community of like-minded individuals that work together as a team to make every member the best version of themselves. 
Through constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity across broad time and modal domains we achieve the highest level of general physical preparedness for any task life throws our way.

Our Fitness program caters for everyone that wants to look good naked. It has simple movements designed for anyone from 14 to masters to get stronger, fitter and healthier and have a good time while doing it.

Our Competitor program is designed for anyone with the interest in pushing themselves to their full potential whether that entering your first event or to qualify at the highest level of Crossfit or any other sport.

The CrossFit Method

CrossFit is a timed method of exercise that is a combination of training exercises. It is a combination of simple and complex moves, and can includes basic moves like squats along with more powerful movements like the snatch. Running, jumping, skipping, plyometric and compound movement, gymnastics and moving weight is a part of most classes. 

You never know what the routine will be at our CrossFit classes. This makes it exciting and challenging. Each class comprises a warm up and cool down session in every class, a teaching component of exercises to help improve skills and techniques, and the main workout component of the day (WOD). You work at a high intensity rate for a moderate period of time.

CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. These are the core movements of life. They move the largest loads the longest distances, so they are ideal for maximizing the amount of work done in the shortest time. Intensity is essential for results and is measurable as work divided by time—or power. The more work you do in less time, or the higher the power output, the more intense the effort. By employing a constantly varied approach to training, functional movements and intensity lead to dramatic gains in fitness. 'Glassman"

All sessions are programmed and coached so all you need to do is get yourself in the door and we will take care of the rest.
